I like the guy(Raage Omar). He is a good reporter maybe underestimated or non appreciated by the BBC.

Good move for him.

I think Aljazeera in english wont have that much effect here in the west though!

Have you heard him talk in Somali? Laughing

I think A/J international will revolutionise the way News is presented. There is a dire and desperate need for a fresh and compelling new point of view which covers the story from the other side. I think that is where A/J will come in, presenting the news from an Islamic point of view.

The middle east is mostly the current world news making region and I think A/J has a big advantage over others in this regard.

Money will not be of a worry for A/J as the deep pockets of the Arab shiekhs will have no limit. Laughing

He is a brilliant journalist but his wardrobe has a lot to answer for. Well, if he is going on Aljazeera he will have to do something about his style. Less khaki and greys please!

Qudhac, I heard he went to Oxford uni and is married to an English woman.

When i was young boy my uncle on my mother side use to take me to their
house, at that time there were only few somali kidds in london
thats how came to know the family as my uncle use to do business
with his father Cabdilahi oomaar, and yes he's been Oxf uni, and have white chick with 2 sons currently reside in south africa

Coolman

What realy amaze me and make laugh so hard is when i see a say walaahi
from mogadisho, boosaaso, hargaysa, baydhabo having a heated argument
about the somali politics I SAY AWLIYO ALLAH IYADAA IS AF TAQAAN.
