HAIL TO THE WARLORDS! HAIL TO HAWIYE!

I never thought I will ever say either of those exclamations, but here they are.

The hawiye warlords, the same bastrds who destroyed Mogadihsu(the nation destruction was a shared affair) have at last started to do something useful: attack an evil entity.

In the past 15 years the so-called Islamic courts with their vast saudi-funded networks of political organisations, `welfare' systems, militias, bullyboys, crazed Imams and gleaming mosques in a nation where everything else looked like a dead goats arses - has been a ubiqitous and dark threatening menace in the background, seen and heard but rather faintly despite the odd amputation of the ethnic minority soul. they were largely allowed to pursue their hobby horse: haranguing women about the lengths of their skirts.

Their nastiness was overshadowed by the perfectly divine killing on tribal grounds: that is decent and fine and acceptable. We are Somalis and occsasionally we need to reaffirm our god-given tribal barbarity. If Somalis stop killing each other on tribal grounds we lose who are. it is a good thing! Except of course when Hawiye learns how to practise it.

Recently however the evil wadaads have been openly flexing their muscle.

They hit Mog's once thriving bootleg film industry, attacking cinema houses, video centres, pirate radio stations and even music shops.

They closed down hotels for holding wedding parties or parties of any kind. BIG mistake. Some of the businesses they attacked belonged to warlords.

Now the warlords, surely given few thousand dollars by the holy CIA are hitting back. Within two days they have taken over almost all the bases of the Islamists. The war has just begun.

Even more encouragingly Habeeb, the warlord of Jowhar and the only warlord to have the couarge to ban Hijab in his fief has joined the war.
