I would like to write on the subject of "diaspora somalis". The journey they undertook {the expectations] the lies they said to obtain visa, the regrets and much more. But Neither my english nor my somalia can capture a mission of this magnitude.

You know what Caydid, that is exactly what I want to do...walaahi..
I believe that is a big part of the Somali history which should..no has to be told...it is heavy work I do agree with you but is not undoable...
I think about all the stories that need to be told...all the somalis that have crossed deserts, oceans and other hostile environment just to get to Europe..
there are many stories to be told...it is a matter of finding those that want and need to tell...

Abaay [what a nice name!], I have been doing some layman research (asked many somalis about their journeys; and asked many who did not make it what they think of leaving somalia]. There are some fascinating stories about bravery, robberies, cowardness, let downs and much more.

I write a bit, mainly fiction, but I have issues with people reading my work so I don’t think I will ever get anything published. Rolling Eyes

BALOO

good question!!!

i'm currently not writing, but i'm reading a lot. i'm tryin to get ideas from different writers. i'm mostly into romance and relationship type of thing. i'm not all into tribes/clans and all that other stuff to tell u the truth. in the future i would like to write a book on somali men; love, women etc.

abdi thats sweet. that sounds like something i would be interested in. so is it about a guy and a girl. or just two guyz??
