ARE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE WELL, A LITTLE DUMB?
Every religion I know about has two claims to justify its existence:
1. Knowing what happens after death
2. Having links or inspired or representing an alien God(s) who lives in an unknown place.
These two pillars of religions come in various combinations but they are always there. Even Budhism which has no god as such still claims to know what happens after death and karma.
Plainly both claims are self-evidently, clearly, unquestionably so much tosh. No one knows what happens after death. Except what we know of course: Nothing: you turn into humus, enrich the soil and play your role in the life of cycle.
Remember it was a MAN or a collection of men who told you they know what happens. No they focking don't. They lied to you gullible sod. If i met Jesus or moses or Mo I would have said "pull the other one mate"
The second claim is they spoke with alien gods who will only talk to them. well comment unnecessary me thinks.
Yet billions fall for these utter con tricks. Why? Brainwashing sure. Social pressure absolutely. Fear of death yes. Looking for explanations and hanging on to any possible. The vulnerability and the gullibility of illiteracy? Without a doubt. But that still leaves a whole group of people, examples abound, who fall for what is plainly Harry potter stories about flying angels and big bad gods and prophets whispering in caves and walking on waters and gods impregnating teenage kids and what have you. Ludicrous stories!
In a normal cool headed assessment a 6 year -old of average intelligence can see through these. "cmon dad get out of it! This is not possible"
That is the word, intelligence. Are religious folks generally lacking in the intelligence depratment which makes them more susceptible to these stories?
Discuss intelligently.

You clearly have problems with religions especially islam. The question is what are you going to do about it?. We get that you have left islam which is up to you. What else do you have to prove to anyone here?. I believe you have the right to be here but wouldn' t it be more productive and fulfilling if you joined some athiest forum where you godless people can discuss how we all used to be apes
. You are wasting your time here seriously.

"Man will not live on bread alone but on every Word which comes out of the mouth of God"
Galol,
Living in fantasy is sometimes better than loosing one’s hope.
I respect all religious people alike.
However, those who spread hatred(karaahiyah) and call jihad against so-called non-believers(gaalo), I can't stand them.

But does one need religion for hope and inspiration? what about music and nature and poetry and art and beauty and passion and justice?
As millions of marxisits, nationalists, Anarchists, hedonists, fascists and other secular atheist movements have shown throughout history you can have hope, for better or worse, and passion and imagination without bringing God into it.
What particularly offends about religions are their insult of man's intelligence,. reason and free thought. It is the falsehoods that jar and offend.
None of the secular ideological movements indulge in blatant falsehoods as much as religions do. Marxists actualy believed they were doing god. So did Nazis. It is not the end result it si the intent. And in religions the intent is obvious: it is to lie to people, to entice man throught sinsister falsehoods into a web of fear and control and manipulation.

I think there is one part of human being who get inspired by religion more than any thing else.
It gives them hope and comfort.
Not all religious people believe in violence or disrespect others.
I respect those for that.
I’m not defending them. They don’t use their minds.

You seem to be able to differentiate btw secular ideoligies..but not btw religionS.
It's imposible to say anything (about everything, even death) with 100 % certainty..except for that I am (ergo cogito sum)..
and for everything else here is life, it's, atleast if you ask me, about weighing different things against eachother....all ideologies have their anomalier, the Q is what you except as a satisfactory answer.

There is no evidence that man is a religious being as you imply. It is probably statistically true that most human beings believe in some kind of concept beyond themselves; beyond the obvious and apparent and rational.
But there is nothing natural about it. The evidence for this is the numbers of people who do not believe in anything beyond man and his life and death that lead perfectly normal, happy existence without resorting to fantasy for comfort.
