I am now a 48 yr old single mom, divorced after 20 years. my son is 24 yr.
I have realized there is nothing I can do about his actions. I can only mange my own. Yes, he has hurt me incredibly much. After all, I trusted this him, but if I let it affect me, then IÃ¢Â€Â™ve played right into his hands. Reality is, not everyone will like you, not everyone will hate you, but I trust that the Universe has a way of making the truth ultimately surface.

Too many people these days are walking around like the dawn of the jaded dead. Betrayals by friends and lovers have caused many to become cynical and cautious.

As far as my ex-fella, well, hopefully in time, heÃ¢Â€Â™ll realize that bad-mouthing someone without any base is really not cool. I hope that one day he'll make amends, if not towards me then maybe towards someone in the future. In the meantime, IÃ¢Â€Â™m actively clearing him out of my basket and sowing the seeds for other, more reliable apples. I hope that those of you who have been hurt by their own child will take my advice and do the same. After all itÃ¢Â€Â™s spring, itÃ¢Â€Â™s time
