Gurey... Its an excellent article. One of the best posted so far on SNET.
Keep up the good work saxiib.
This article brought back memories of how my family had to bribe some Marexan dudes to get Letters of Credit from the National Bank even though we owned very successful commercial businesses. We once had to bribe this fat Marexan guy 10% of any foreign currency that we wanted to pull out of the Bank. In a given year that amounted up to 10,000 USD which was a lot back in 1988.

yeah but you have to take into consideration all the remittance money sent back annually....which amounts from what I hear to nearly 1 billion US dollars.
plus this shows that Somalia might be better off w/ a strong regional rule and administrations that handle most things, with a federal government that handles general national & foreign policy

In that case we would have been better off... If they were the ones that were responsible for the problem of our country...... Because they are not in Mogadisho anymore...
Unfortunately that was not the case...We Somalis in general do not know the difference between Halaal and Haraam...basicaly every Somali who held a position in our country from 1960-1990 was a corrupt and the more they looted the better name they had.... Hebel waa nin rag ah oo cadkiisa goostey...
The same goes to the so called businessmen. All they did was to corrupt the system bribing every loser...
We can never be better off now. Unless Allaah SWT uu ferej inoo furo. Everyday a Somali intellectual is killed, nobody knows who are the killers.. .. Melez arms every group and tells them he is with them....Aids is spreading like you can't even imagine...We became the dumpster for the toxic waste.... Human trafficking is at its highest level... imagine how many children are trafficked in those man made airports?
I wonder how can anybody say we are better off with Anarchy??

Samatr,
That information is common knowledge. Every Somali knows what happened in Somalia. But mind you some of those who were chilling in Mogadisho are the ones who are claiming to have had Curfews
That is what I have a problem with
Xaggan iyo Xagganba..... Alla maxaa mid labada canba ku cantuugey imika kiiska iska waalaya

And there is no way on earth that anarchy is better than even the worst government!

nin aqalkiis lagu xukumo iyo nin xoriyad leh, ka xoriyada leh ayaa labada sharaf leh.
Anoo yar baa la ii geeyay Hargeysa dadkii oo baastoolad lagu xukumayo aan arkay, Xamarna waan arkay, walaahi waxaad moodi laheed Xamar inay aheed wadan kale dadka Hargeysana sidii shisheeya ayaa loola dhaqmaayee.
Waxaana naga dhaadhicinaysaa xaalada somalia inay ku fiicneed dowladii hore.

Samatr,
No it is not easy for me to say. I just stated a fact And I want to repeat it. Alla maxaa mid ku raaxaystey Xamar oo labada canba ku cantuugey haddeer leh waa la I dhibi jirey....Those people are now in Hargeysa and in everywhere else... And the sad part is some of them are the top/high ranking guys in Hargeysa... Somehow our people are happy and satisfied when the aggressor is from their clan.... We should collectively abhor all kinds of abuse from the government regardless of their tribe.....
And I repeat it again... dulmigii dhacay ee ilaa hadda ka socda Somaaliya qofna looga sheekeyn maayo... Laakiin waxaan diidey kuwa dulmilayaashii hore iyo kuwan dadqalatada ahba ka midkaa ahaa ee iska beri yeelaya.....
I wish there was justice in our country regardless of tribe... What I find offensive and disgusting is when someone justifies the horrors that are happening in our country or those that had happened in our country...
Waxaanan kuugu bishaareynayaa inaadan 1/4 ka dhadhamin dhibka aniga isoo gaadhey..... wixii noo geystayna waxba uma qabo, Qaran-a u dumin maayo... waayo waan hubaa in Alle ka gooyey mid kasta dembigii uu galay....
