What clan entitled the Financing and Control of Somali Ports

As far i know and as far as memory serves me better , it was one clan that over-dominated Somali ports ever since the advent of Somali state (post-colonial era) and even pre-colonial era.
It wasn't a nepotism or Eexasho but it was their ability to run such massive revenue-generating sources of income for the government, which required a higher skill and knowledge for finance and math.
Berbera port , Kismayo port, and Mogadisho port were all run by people of Sanaag region. It reminds the current generation of the history of Makhir coast, a commercial site and the building block of our failed state.
