Why are Somalis Qabilists????

Post by Basra- »

Seriously i dont understand this.Life is so hard, so complicated that dwelling on qabil is futile. It is nonesensical to say the least. We should all unite & be a good one Somalia. All qabil should inter marry--- bantu marry hawiye--darood marry reer xamar & Isaaq marry Guurdubisi & isses.(uuf Rolling Eyes )

We should all love one another So ma ha ?

It's trait that we inherited from our forefathers, condemn them for our animosity.

Basra i hope these post answer your question my dear....

Its has been almost two decades since the disintegration of Somalia as state, the gruesome skeleton images of starving women and children in Baidoa synonymous with Somalia might be long gone, but the causal factors that produced such carnage is still in active operation.

Dispute and war was never new, the concept of brother against brother has long been with humanity since the humble beginning of mankind, for Somalis this concept took a sinister hold during the colonial error of both Italian and British powers. qabil were utilized in various occasions by both colonial powers to achieve their desire objective, using qabils to subjugate and undermined each other, in fact qabil against qabil form the basis of British success in colonizing many of African states.

The notion of qabils institutions in which the British owes its success in colonizing Somalia back then has today laid claim on Somalia, these time unlike then where tribals disputes were mostly orchestrated by British colonial power to achieve its financial and political ends, today’s the concept of qabil against qabil operate in a environment of modernity that lacks are common enemy in which all Somalis can all Identify with, is these lack of common purpose, political end and desired or prescribe vision for these embattle country, these has been the founding base that has prolong the agony, conflicts and carnage in which Somalis have became accustomed with, in a environment whereby majority prescribe openly to hate and political distrust; finding a lasting political understanding from all involving warring parties is a monumental task especially whereby the founding basis of the conflict is a bypass product of qabil culture that has its roots in an error where the notion of statehood or nationality for that matter were never conceive.

As explained in the Holy Koran, the concept of qabil was given birth to identify the existence of various communities during those time and indeed to promote social cohesion and a sense of belonging, in those time the notion of statehood based on a prescribe borders or geographical boundaries was never envisaged let alone conceived.

For century we Somalis have always departed from the social cohesion long describe in the Holy Koran, if the comparison of what we Somalis regard as social cohesion is something to go about then the term “savagery” and “ignorance” will be best suited to describe it.

“Savagery and ignorance” is what form the pillar of most of Somali’s basic understanding of qabil. Today’s Somalinet serves as a great insight on which the barometer of “savagery” and “ignorance could be distinctly and easily measure, the myriad of forum rooms in which play hosts to posts that spouses hate serve as an disputable evidence of the extent on which the influences of qabils construct the fundamental core on how an average Somali view each other.

Although in practice the senseless death of innocent souls as thus far confined in the ruined cities of Somalia, in theory the financial machinery and political capitals that made such chaos and intense hostilities with various tribal communities posible can only said to be a product of millions of funds and sympathy collected by dozens of Somali qabils in both Africa and in particular western world.

These funds and sympathy are the engine force that has driven this senseless conflict for more than two decades now, Somalia is today a state failure long forgotten by the world and incapable of withstanding the much stronger forces of evil that reside within and that of thousands of Somali’s living abroad hell bent in prolonging the senseless death, chaos and political carnage in the country, although is to some extent the product of our moral sympathy, support and financial input we have offer during the course of this conflict.

For many Snet members insulting and engaging in tribal bashing might look fun or for that matter is seen as the moral obligations to maintain the farce of qabil shadow that has engulf the mind o many Somalis, in fact the wheel of tribal propaganda is today run by not the aging stereotypical Somali’s elder sipping tea and listen to BBC in cafés, but a young generation born/living in western setting and fortunately enough to have access to western education; these is the very generation of future Presidents, Ministers and bureaucratic official charged in bringing Somalia’s out present stale mate and rebuilding the shattered nation, but today’s is involved injecting much unneeded venom, hence the tribal hostilities and political distrust emanating from all politicians and tribal elders involve in Somalia’s bloody conflict.

Since I have laid out a tentative taxonomy of state failure with respect to Somalia, the above analysis of the influence and structured of qabil concentrate more on the origin of this phenomena and the future prospect its has if any in rebuilding Somalia, for me the disintegration of Somalia offers undisputed evidence that qabil has no place in governance of country or for that matter the political sphere whatsoever.

Having said that I wish to plea to my fellow Snet members to refrain themselves from posting thread that has element of qabil connotation in it, its first and foremost insignificance and has no sense of purpose other than being an evidence of moral complicit in the fueling tension that sustaining an aura of hate much attributed to qabil.

As Kambuli said, Why don’t you just ask that question yourself? It is simple, just ask, why is Basra Qabilist and hates some tribes for no reason? Be honest and tell me what your inner voices are telling you right now?
