Where is Jaziira beach? How old you said you were?

I don't have much memory of Somalia but one thing I really miss is simplicity and stress-free living. Mainly due to leisurely pace of living as opposed to more hectic West.

My Family Big Mansions, One in Hargeisa and the other in Xamar gift from aabe Mr. Barre..(god Bless his soul ), the ranches with fresh imported horses from the "Sanaag Valley", our Family Russian helicopter, which flew my dad to his important meetings and my bigger bro, pimped out landcruiser.

Life was sweet.................. Cool . Those Moryaans just had to ruin it........ Evil or Very Mad

Where do I start?

Lying in lido beach carefree sipping ice-cold beer; the smell of the perfumes wafting from the miadens in their best afternoon dirics; the giggle of the children as they played happily onn endless sandy beaches; the aroma of freshly caught barracuda and yellow-fin tuna being grilled over open charcoal stoves; the persistent pleas of little boys selling freshly roasted groundnuts in front of cinema xamar; the chocolate brown torrents of tog-der in full-flood, the breathtaking coolness of mists over Sheikh escarpments; the glorious sight of gaggles of gorgeous girls swaying in their in see-thru silks in burao streets.

The pungent smells from Somali leather as craftsmen made shoes in xamar weyne, listening to haunting Khadra Dahir number in Batalalale beach at crimson dawn after staying up all night at the beach talking and drinking over open fires.

The excitement of thousand warriors charge at each other symbolically during Istunka, the cavalry of clansmen on full trot on their bay horses; the bantu somalis dance msmerisingly, the Gabley shimbir during festivals; Abdi muxumed amin reciting Ki Cill qabee from the daljirka Dahsoon loudspeakers; The sexy din of excited bridesmaids shrieking at the sound of violin humming Leylai in breezy dusk.

Driving East from Burao with Shimbir biris in the horison with hundrreds of miles of spring hay gently waving in teh wind; majestic haldhays walking in the distance..

memories are made of those.
