What's your intake on it.
do you think its ok, or it is just some jambo crap.
me i think its really good, and gets you closer to God. i mean what better or than constantly reading the quran, than saying the Allah name all the time.
I mean dikri is a way to get you to not actually do other dambi things, and get your head cleared up, and say Allah's name constantly.
your comments.
Gladiator, Dikr or Dikri is a way to remembrance Allah's name and attributes, by chanting them. usually they chant ducas, praises, and just all the names of Allah.
Asalam Alaikom Warhmatullah Wbarktuh
Zikr is the Arabic term for remembrance of Allah, the Most Merciful. It is not restricted to the prayer and worship that we do on our prayer rugs five times a day; it is much more than that.
Zikr can be a sister adorned in her Hijab. Zikr can be a brother with his long beard and cap. Zikr can be remembering to say "Yarhamokullahi" (may Allah have mercy on you) when a fellow Muslim sneezes. Zikr can be kindness towards our family, friends and neighbors. Zikr can be the following of the Sunnah, the example, of Prophet Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon him, because through him we learn the correct way to worship our Creator.
The greatest form of Zikr though is the fear of Allah. A Hadith of the holy Prophet Mohammed states that a Muslim should think of death forty times everyday to remind him that he will be returning to Allah and his account will be taken.
Abstinence can be a form of Zikr as well, such as abstaining from pork, alcohol, drugs and illicit relations.
Abu Sa`eed al-Khudri said, that the Messenger of Allah said, "Moses said: O Lord! Teach me something that I can remember You with and I can supplicate You with. Allah said: Say 'La ilaaha ill Allah', O Musa. He (Musa) said: All of your servants say this. He (swt) said: If the seven Heavens and those who dwell in them other than Me and the seven Earths are put into one pan (of the scale) and 'La ilaaha ill Al.' is put into the other; 'La ilaaha ill Allah' would be heavier."
So I say ** La ilah il Allah **

The best of people are those who help you with your remembrance, thanks sis.
Dikir I’v been taught to be more thn just remembering and reflecting, it’s the total harmonising of your soul, just that state of mind that constantly connects to Allah and to urself really, so you don’t get swayed by the Dunnay>> tools to help you gain this state are usually the tusbax and the repetition of praises to Allah, and reflecting on creation around.

^^SOME SHEIKHS belief TUSBAX IS BIDCA??
They say use your fingers for the tasbeex since they (fingers) are the ones that wil be questioned in qiyaamah and not the tusbax. i personaly think they have a valid point. what say je the learned one??

Question what is the purpose of using it in the 1st place?
To strengthen your concentration as well as keep count right, what difference does it make if you use your fingers tusbax or nothing?
I’v never heard that argument against the tusbax, but I’ve heard it’s a tradition gained from Christianity so shouldn’t be repeated.
But lil things like that shouldn’t make a difference to ones imaan, its all about intentions at the end of the day

true is it all about intentions. but if it's proved waa bidco why use it? i have no hadith or aya to back up. i heard it somewhere and found it appropriate to mention it here. after all it is a discussion board. someone better armed might shade some light into it.
anigu, i find it easy using my faro so ima stick to it.
ciaooooo.

Tusaale: zikr yawm al-cumaal= xuska maalinta shaqaalaha.
zikr mawliid arrasuul = xuska dhalashada Ergayga.
zikrulaah = xuska Eebbe

I dont thing the use of Tusbax, should be an important issue. we have so many other issues that need to be dealt with properly.
Tusbax, is an object that helps you keep count, its not bad, only does good. yes its good to use your hands, but if you wanted to do thousands of wardis, then it would take a long time to do it with you hands. its a source of convinience, has nothing to do with you imaam or being a better muslim.
hard core issues should be the case, not Tusbax.
cases about the way to do proper wuda, and whether or not praying with shoes is permitted. whether or not a husband breaks his wives wuda, whether having a Moolid for the prophet is ok or not.
things that have do with the sharia, and are actually talked about both in the Quran and the Sunna, like how many people that dont break you wuda.
salaam.
