I was initially going to respond with ad hominem and mudslinging, but after much thought and contemplation, I've come to the conclusion that there may be some truth to that.

For instance tuesday of last week, my girlfriend wanted me to accompany her to a gig in North London , and I declined, saying instead that I had some college essay which urgently needed doing. So there is a bit of truth to that Hun. No point in denying it

Then again I am an English gentleman, so what do you expect?

Recently Mr. Agnostic has come under intense heavy fire from several quarters. And the criticisms Mr. Avowedly has been subjected to aren't just the usual and expected Islamist attacks about my anti-religion stance, but of a more personal and delicate nature regarding my personality, and character.

Without responding heatedly, or with mere degrading insults and ad hominem, I shall attempt to clarify some of these charges against the new commander-in-chief of F.A. (Freethinkers' Alliance).

The above is a charge against me spewed by +Chilli and which others have also been recently making which I feel I ought to clear up. The charge consists of two points.

1) Avowedly-Agnostic is obsessed with grammatical correctness.
2) Avowedly tries ever so hard to sound British.

The first one I’m glad to acknowledge. I agree. Mr. Agnostic checks very meticulously to ensure that his posts are free from errors, be they grammatical, typographical, factual or otherwise. It's also worth noting that Mr. Agnostic is a student of English Literature, so it's perfectly understandable that he would want to hone his literary skills.

The second of the charges is even more frivolous. Mr. Agnostic is a British citizen, born and bred. So to charge that I'm attempting to sound British is ludicrous given that I am British.

Further, I’m opposed to the British monarchy; I think they’re an absolute waste of taxpayer money. So I'm not expecting to dine with the Queen anytime soon.

That wasn't a mistake. I am an English Literature student-not English Language. English Literature is so much more exciting than English Language don't you think?

Oh dear oh dear my +Chilli, you've managed to hurt and offend Mr. Agnostic's feelings once more. Avowedly doesn't know how he'll manage to find the inner strength to forgive you . It could take a while.

Avowedly likes to use the 1st and 3rd person interchangably just as he does with his alias. It's what makes Mr. Agnostic unique from other freethinkers on this forum.

Another charge spewed against Avowedly that he forgot to counter above in the list of misconceptions is that Avowedly is a rather dull and extremely boring fellow who relishes formality.

Amongst those slanderers who've been uttering this claim recently have been, Basra, Blue Rush and SomaliLight .

Avowedly would like to express his utmost disbelief and astonishment at this frivilous accusation. It's a most outragous slander with not an iota of truth to it.

Outragous I say!

I cannot believe the utter hipocrisy and audacity of the aforementioned persons. The aforementioned people have all in the recent weeks been flooding Avowedly with pms expressing their complete adoration and affection for avowedly-agnostic.

They then make posts slandering Avowedly. They really ought to be ashamed of themselves. Shame on you I say!

Who said anything about counterfeiting? Do you accuse the honourable Mr. avowedly of forgery?

avowedly-agnostic isn't in the business of making fraudulent claims.
