I was disappointed this morning to see that Galool's thread on allowing the thread originator to delete or ban posters he finds objectionable in his thread, was itself deleted. I hope this was because of the offfensive flooding in the thread, and not the concept enunciated by Galool.

Flooding in this forum needs to have consequences.

Allowing the originator control of his thread prevents hijacking without censoring or banning offending individuals from the forum. If they feel strongly enough, they would still be free to start their own thread. All that wouold happen is that they would not be able to destroy anyone else's train of thought.

The Mods would still have full control over anything offensive.

It's a no-brainer win/win to me.
