Man Kills Girlfriend For Refusing To Warm Up Sandwiches
Walter S. Fordyce, 58, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania is being held in custody for killing his live-in girlfriend when she refused to warm up sandwiches for him. Mary McCann, 58, was killed after Fordyce threw a microwave at her and fatally beat her to death. The two began arguing after McCann refused to warm up the sandwiches after which Fordyce knocked McCann to the floor and threw a microwave on her chest. He then stomped repeatedly on her chest until she lost consciousness. Fordyce said he didn't mean to kill McCann and that it was an accident.
After attacking McCann, Fordyce ran to a neighbor's house to call 911 but returned back to his home after he couldn't find his neighbor. He then drank a beer and went to another neighbor's house and called 911. Autopsy results aren't currently available. Fordyce is being held without bond, and is being charged with criminal homicide.
