That was hillarious. I have to agree with you that Hargeisa was the cradle of the Somali art and every prominent artist that counts is a graduate of that institution, regardless of their qabiil affiliation. I heard Omar Dhuulle used to act a woman's role in dramas because of his soprano voice? I am not sure.
Relocating everything of value to the capital was/is a third world phenomenon and if I may stretch the truth a little, it had nothing to do with Iidoorness but rather, would have been the same had another qabiil populated Hargeisa, but I still blame the Faqash for that.
Banadiri artistry, is a world of it's own, cause the Faro Dheer doesn't share the same kind tradition, culture, hence can not relate to the richness of their poetry and what it is based. One is composing about Camel, Fauna, the grace of the wilderbeast, the long neck of the giraffe, the fight between two subclans while the other composes about Jewelry, Jiimbaar, the Aliindi clad women strolling on the beach and the reluctant father to give his daughter's hand to the vagabond who is courting her, the two communities don't see it from the same perspective.
For example, according to my opinion as a Faro Dheer, I would say, only Iidoor, Dhulos and Cagdheer can compose what could genuinely pass as poem, whereas a dude from Caliyaale would refute and claim that only Abgaal shirib counts and a resident of Aw Aweeska would brush the two of us aside and say, who wants to hear about Camels in this age and time, so you see, it's how/where you look at it
