Please elaborate. Does this mean your opinions can go AGAINST the teachings of Islam? Does the opinion of Allah (swt) not greater than what you "feel"?

I'm not against Islamic teaching. I have opinions on the issues that are open to interpretation. For example, the issue of hijab - which are mainly opinions of others. I believe I’m also allowed to have my opinion since I’m gonna be the one judged on it at the end of the day!!

Apparently, you are not aware of the Islamic definition of a hypocrite.

You can't HAVE opinions that are in conflict with the teaching of Islam and still call yourself a Muslim.

And the Issue of Hijab is not open to interpretation. The Qur'an and Ahaadiith are very clear on whether and how much should be covered.


You need to be very careful with what you say if you don't want to comprimise your faith. Learn, learn, learn Islam. I keep telling you this.

You say, the hijab is a very clear teaching. So, what is your opinion on what is a hijab, colours and who should wear it and I'll tell you if there are conflicting opinions.


Note: I'm not talking about covering up your adornments as the quran teaches (my interpretation of that doesn't necessarily mean/include hair)

The issue of hijab is very clear. Everything but the hands, feet and face should be covered..Some women prefer to have the face (niqab) covered. This is of course optional. I'm not talking about what some people practice but what the religion says. Go to any sheikh and you wll get the same answer. The types of hijabs worn vary by region.

If it varies with regions that means it is open to one's preferences. And that is exactly what I was telling you. People have the choice. You have no right to force your opinions on others. The quran only says, "cover your adornments", the rest is up to the individual.

Alawis
Nizari
Fatimids
Zaidis
Ismailis (the sect that stole the black stone from Kabba in 930!)
Wahaabis
Kahrijites
Sufis
Shites
Sunnis

DD....All the sects you listed are offshoots of Shi'ism which deviated from Islam long time ago. They are all heretics. We are talking about mainstream sunni Islam.

You need to be careful with what you say. SL said what Islam teaches is black and white. There is a hadeeth that says "what's halaal si clear, what's xaraam si clear"..

What he said is basically what i was saying; your opinions can't be in conflict with Islam.

Thanks Luggoyo, but I like to teach myself and think for myself instead of just following other's opinions, which is usually their opinions on the opinions of the opinions of someone recollection of the prophet’s (saw) narrations. I try to learn everyday, at the end of the day, I want to ensure I'm doing what is right.
