The way Salafists preach is standardized.
Their opening creed is like this:

Assalamu calaykum wa raxmatullahi wa barakaatuh.
Acuudu billahi minashaytanir rajiim.
Bismillahir raxmaanir raxiim.
Alxamdu lillahi nahmaduhu wanastaciinahu, wanastaghfiruhu, wanatuubu ilayhi, wanacuudu Billaahi min shuruuri anfusinaa, wamin sayyi’aati acmaalinaa.
Mayahdillahu fa huwal muhtad, wa mayudlil falan tajida lahu waliyan murshida. Wa ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallaah, wahdahu laa shariika lah, waash-hadu anna Muhammadan cabduhu warasuuluh
Wa iyaakum wa muxdithaat al-umuur. Fa’inna kullu muxduthah bidcah. Wa kullu bidcah Zalaalah. Wa kullu zalaalah finnaar. (follwed the body of the talk)

They choose from the Qur’an and Hadith in very selective way, then they put the words in order to make to a story or create or emphasize some ideas or rules.
You can make all sorts of interpretations and analogies from the massive Islamic literature. It is like composing poem using English words.

To call them Salafi is to legitimise their fanatic sect. Wahhabi is a more apt term of their origin. They're followers of some dude called Muhammed Ibn Abdul Wahab who's authored many loony books on aqeedah (belief) and Tawhid. Some of which are still (oddly) in my possession from my wahhabi days of seeking knowlege (it sickens me even thinking of it).

They grow long beards and trim their moustaches, shave or shorten their heads’ hair, wear trousers above the ankles and watches on the right-hand’s wrist.
They brainwash women and enslave them without their consciences.
You hear them saying “Mr. X(a wahabi) has 4 wives Maasha-allaah!).
The first thing they tell you is to change your shape and clothes. Otherwise no friendship.

What's most surprising about the Wahhabi sect is that their portrayal of Allah is one of vindictiveness and fury. Allah is an angry man in the sky that is ready to lash with his whip any that display shortcomings to his unattainable standard of conduct.

It's a gross mistake to think that it's only non-believers that will rot in hell. Far from it. Allah it seems is to punish severely even those most devout and observant Muslims.

Take for example the issue of Isbaal (wearing trousers below the ankle). This is according to Wahhbies a grave crime against Allah and his messenger. As such the prophet condemns those that wear their trousers below their ankle to burn in hell (irrespective of whether they're good and devout in every other aspect of their religion) .

It matters not it seem to the Wahhabis that God is supposed to represent love, compassion, and mercy. As far as they're concerned, Isbaal is grave a crime as unbelief and will be punished just as severely by the merciful god!
