Apparently some idiot in Australia has come up with the idea that women the world over should wake up each morning and wail for the plight of women. Why anyone would consider this meaningful is a mystery to me; in fact, it would be quite annoying.

It also ignores the obvious, at least in the developed world: instead of wailing / whining, improve your situation. There are numerous resources available for women who are abused. Use them. As for women stuck in repressive cultures, there’s no short-term fix, other than more invasions of repressive countries. I doubt the people supporting this wailing business would also support more invasions. They would rather do something useless instead.
