Somali President Nominates Ayan Hirsi as Minister
Controversial Ex-Dutch MP Nominated for Cabinet Post
BAIDOA. May 16, 2006. President Abdullahi Yusuf has nominated Ayan Hirsi to be his Minister of Religous Affairs. In a speech to the Somali parliment, President Yusuf was quoted"....I have full confidence that Ayan can help deal with the threats posed by religious extermisim in the Somali Republic. Her work experience in confronting such fanatics during her tenure as MP in the Netherlands can help bring attention to the dangers posed by them in Somalia." The nomination of the former Dutch MP has been widely believed to be a response to the President's critics that he is anti-Islamic.
President Yusuf and his administration have been trying to restore order to the lawless Horn of Africa nation which has been without a functioning government since 1991, when Somali dictator Muhammad Siyad Barre was overthrown by rebels.

I mean--seriously--Somalia will be boring without the drama of Majeertens! They are fascinating people walaahi.Everything about them, is comical. From Ayaan to Abdilahi yusuf to Iman! These people just are made up of something else than the rest of Somalis.

The LEGEND of the Majeerten:
Harti lay on his dead dying. He had long suspected Majeerten was not his son and so said to his 1st wife: "I will test my children by asking them to cut my head off when I die by saying the one who cuts my head off will inherit all of my assets. The one says that he will cut my head is definately not my child."
Days passed and Harti died. The sons were gathered around and told of their dad's last wish. Dhulbahante cried and swore that he would never cut off his father's head not for all the gold in the world. Warsangeli refused. Dhashiile refused...
Majeerten looked at everyone and said, "What does it matter if I cut his head off now ? After all father is dead and I can use his money"
This story was narrated to me by my Dhulbahante relative. i laughed to death

There was no warsangeli or dishishle at the time. SO its definetly a fiction tale of hobyo's ancient slave stories. More like the "UNDERGROUND RAILROAD TALES OF SACAD" also known as this little light of mine I'm going let it shine.... let it shine..............shinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne awwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaay
.
Warsageli was a son of mohmoud harti, dishishle was a son of murra asseh harti or sumthin like that dacas boy

Wow---look at Dhulbahante portraying themselves to be 'hero' of the little concucted myth story.
Lets not forget these are the same people who killed their reer abtii (isaaqs) or in laws -- in the civil war.
Abdi-- u are related to backstabbers, espionagers, & homeless people !
However i can believe Majeertens was not the son of Harti! Seriously these mjs are made of something else--separate. They think differently, act differently & react totally differently. Ogaden & dhulbahante one can very much say they are related.

Warsangelis--these are in total different league; I suspect they are just weceliins of a Sri lanka father & a dir mother. Which makes them a relation of Hawiya i guess?? The extreme Madoowness is telling.

Basra... I once flew into Berbera. I swore I never saw such madoow people. They made the tarmac look white. I shook the hand of my Habar Awal associate and I was afraid he would leave his madoow on my hand.
I prefer the Dhulbahantes over the Majeerten. They are respectful and decent to their relatives. Dhulbahante in-laws will never come and stay forever at your house. You Majeerten in laws will move thier whole family in where they proceed to dwell like rats.
"Lets not forget these are the same people who killed their reer abtii (isaaqs) or in laws -- in the civil war. Rolling Eyes "
The Majeerten have killed those who they are abti or married to. They are sophisticated about it. The ones u are related to don't do it but point you out to their death squads.

The Dhulbahante have the decency to rescue their in-laws from any harm in a qabiil war not because they love your qabiil but because you are related by blood. They value kinship more than the Mjs.

LOLAbdi
Ok point taken. But you are not fair walaal--Barbara is a scotching heat, hot place. For Gods sake that is where oil is burning underneath--of course they will get a permanent tan.
Not all of them are dark--if they are dark-- it is not by birth--it is my temprature. But the warsangelis & your inaa adeers have a natural endowment of the madoowness--God bless their hearts.
As to the difference of mjs & dhulhante that you have listed--well u might be right.Mjs are known to be very awful proud people, & such people are not know for respecting people.
But i would trust an Mj before i do a dhulbahante--not because my great great grand mother came from them--but because---
---- i rather deal with a cunning smart person than a dumb backstabber.
At least the cunning smart person-- we would be 'equal' & have equal ground to fight. The coward backstabbers --i mean the ogadens & dhulbantes--will crawl in the night while u are sleeping & stick a folk knife in your eyes. Then what??
