DIVIDED SOMALIA
Should we for one stp kidding ourselves and stop the idea of one Somalia,Somalia hasn't worked and it does not look like it's going to in the very near future,so should we let every QABIIL control their territory, and just have different Sheikdoms,Isaq's are doing that already,so let the Dhulbahante,Warsengeli and Gudabursi do the same or are they doing that already,so may be some time in the future if we get another generation who want united Somalia, who are ripe for the idea then the situation might change but the way the things are at the moment can't carry on.

I second Same on this one. We Somalis are stubbon by nature, and are inherently hostile to one another. So further divisions than this will most likely exacerbate the problems, rather than solving them...
We can't seem to agree on anything, specially when it comes to territorial borders and the supremacy of a certain clan and its sovereginity on a given territory! No wonder Dictatorial Rule works best in Somalia.

People are losing hope becuase all your 15 peace conferances have been total faliures including the last one.
Why were they failures?
becuase they were organised by others not somalis, and they were held
outside of Somalia.
There is also the fatal flaw of attempting to recreate a strong centralized state in a Clan society.
This would mean that every large clan will attempt to use this to be top dog and screw everyone else.
While the weaker clans will cooperate to spoil anymoves by stronger clans.
You also have the outside players, Ethiopia, Kenya Egypt, Yemen and Italy
who are constantly interfering and each have thier own man.
Now there is a solution to Somalias problems, you can use Somalilands
Blueprint for peace.
A homegrown , Bottom up development.
This will succeed if you can keep the Foriegn players away, and if you
have this within Somali terrtiory.
Somaliland should volunteer to host this, or get it started.

Is anyone familiar with the League of the Five Nations? ://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iroquois

The Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Seneca and Cayuga. A sixth nation, the Tuscarora, was added in 1720.
The government they developed to stop warfare among themselves and to protect against outsiders was a system of checks and balances, in which all of the clans and tribes were represented, and in which no one tribe or clan could become dominant.
It is the oldest living form of participatory democracy in the world, and much of the US Constitution comes from it.
The similarities between the Iroquois and the Somalis are remarkable.
I may just be barking at the wind, but I would like to see someone check it out for applicability to Somalia

The Hodenashone leauge has always had my admiration.
Yes similiar ideas can idealy be used in somalia, but somalis are ignorant and held hostage by clan demegoggues, or warlords in the south.
and Kamal
Federalsim is too centralized and strong for somalis,
A qabill can dominate federal government, and use thier powers to sidestep the constitution and abuse others.
