My Ideal Somalia have to be one I am the supreme ruler.
Aside from my narcissistic and entertaining ambition...
I would like to see a Somalia thats blind to Qabiil where everybody is judged and rewarded by what he/she knows/accomplishes .
Like they say in Italian: A parita di condizione che vinca il migliore.
PS. this coming from someone who had a great advantage in Siad's government..?

Have you been reading some American chit Cawar?
Unbelievably we KNOW this could be done. I remember a Somali Nation State not only functioning but moving like a well oiled machine. It was betrayed by the very people who made it happen; its leadearship.

A loose federation of somali states/clan entities with a shared executive council instead of a single president or prime miniter. A president as Nominal head of state chosen from the executive council
ala swiss model.
A millitia based army with a small well trained and equiped standing of at least corps size as the heart of the defense system.( this helps prevent bloodless coups, any attemped coup will lead to automatic civil war).
=====================================
Since this is about likely to happen in my lifetime as the return of the mahdi, and any new attempt at Somali government will be an attempt to recreate the failed centralized models of the 60's.
i will put all my thoughts on Somaliland, at least here is a potential for a free democratic state.

i think fuck would happen, untill people sufer more and more and realise their best intrest and stop thinking only abut their qabiil and think about the common intrest of the nation,it's like you when you send money all the time your people in somalia, that money might help a little but won't do any good because the common well being of the whole population is not taken care of you need good fair government who would uphold the rule of law.

Me becoming the first woman to be elected president of Somalia ...I think it's about time we had a female president of the Somalia..I don't care what anyone says... Cawar or Lionheart, becoming the "first gentleman" is a job that I think would be quite cool.
Somalis to live peace and stability, democracy and human rights, cooperation, development, prosperity and human dignity....

My ideal Somalia ?
That is just simple. I envision a Somalia divided in different states where each qabil rules their domain land. For those insignificant small qabils with not much of land to own- there should a tossed up coin to scatter them all over.

Each state should have their own borders & pasport with their qabil, & sub clan listed in Red bold letters.I envision an economical posperity where schools, business & infranstructure is improved from tax money collected among their qabil constituents--coz u know if there is a unification of qabil there is a special bond that is built amongst them & prosperity will no doubt follow.Thats my Ideal Somaliland.

Well, I hope there are better examples, as Somalia has become the murder capital of the world. One of the latest victims was a 2 years old child, killed while on assignment in the country. The killers will never be identified, because there are no police in Somalia. There are a few warlords, but they're no more in control of anything than anyone else.
The country has lived without a formal Government for over a decade. It is unfair to describe it as an anarchy, because warlords and local leaders do provide a nominal Government of sorts. The country still exists as a country, although it is not always clear how or why.
The private ownership of weapons - the basis of the 2nd Amendment and the mantra of those who would argue that people should protect themselves by arming themselves - has done nothing to secure safety or liberty for anyone in Somalia. Quite the opposite. Sure, there is total personal responsibility, at the cost of nobody being in a position to hold others responsible.
This is a country that should have reached the nirvana of Republican and Libertarian ideals. After all, this is definitely no nanny state and there's not a drop of socialization anywhere. It is probably closer to the "wild west" than any other nation out there. The only people likely to be inspired by any tales from it, though, are the hard-core survivalists - and then only in that it proves that, if civilization does collapse, it really is possible to survive.
Maybe, just maybe, there are things worse than socialism and maybe there is a distinction between liberty and freedom that Americans neglect to consider.

Somali Democratic Republic <= in the real sense of the meaning.
Midda kale,
Gaal maxasta kuu dhawra ood magansataa kuu dhaama mooryaanta iyo maxkamadaha maatida madhiyey.
