Almighty Gurey,

I have been devasted with this particular question all my life..so here Goes:

Iblis was asked to bow down before Adam, and being the only willed being in the crowd at the time, why was it that God humilated this fella by asking to be subservient to Adam? especially knowing that Iblis worked hard to achieve his ranks among the angels? always puzzled me.
