The much awaited world cup has started. The usual favourites are England, Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Italy. I hope that this world cup would break the dominance of these big nations who win NOt by their skills but by virtue of history. I hope that an african, East European asian or some underdogs from south america wins.

So far:

Ecuador showed that they could win outside their high altitude capital. They beat Poland who were favourites.

England did not deserve to win. The uruguayans were better. They will beat Sweden!

Trinidad and Tobago are going to draw England.

From Group B, TT and England would go through!


Ivory coast was not that bad a team. They seem to suffer from the african disease of soccer- Playground football game. Some kind of boys in the hood game. But they were organised (something many african teams lack).

The Cote Ivorian team is in the group of death. My guess is that Serbia and the Ivory coast would go through. Argentina would be beaten by Holland.

Keep on dreaming,it seems you are not good at predicting footy results how can you pick teams like Ghana,TT,TT was f-king shit shit they played a negative football,and I can't believe they were celebrating at the end,these people know nothing about football,let them play their Cricket.My team to win the world cup is Argentia,Brazil is the danger but I am hoping,brazil will go out in the knock out stages against some of the ather good teams like France,portugal,spain,holland or italy and Argentina would win,but even if it's Argentina Brazil final Argentina can hold their ground and these South Americans know each ather.
