i dont see why it should be wrong since istaqfurulah means forgive me

which you seek Allah swt forgiveness when praying i dont see how that so be a wrong-doing.

i'd suggest you say acuduu bilaahi minal shaydanil rajiim.. which mean o Allah i seek refuge from the satan the outkast.

u cant say istaqfurulah in prayer cuz da prophet an his companions did not say it wen they were prayin.

using astarkfrullah after you have finished prayer is haram only if you tru'lly know for a fact you did'nt pray correct.

but if you think/know you prayed correctly then saying astarkfrullah is caadi

The journey there..the people around u..Hearing the Imam reciting the Quran..
