Taqwa Allah

Post by *Somali-chick* »

Praise is for Allah, the Giver of Life, the Creator of Death, the Originator, and the Restorer. He is the Irresistible above His slaves. He is the Wise and the All Knowing. I bear witness that there is no god or deity worthy of worship except Allah alone. He is acquainted with all that has and will transpire.

“Allah knows what every female bears, and by how much the wombs fall short (of their time or number) or exceed. Everything with Him is in (due) proportion.” Ar-Ra‘d 13:8

I bear witness that Muhammed is His servant and final Messenger. O Allah send Your Salah on Muhammed and his blessed family and companions and those who follow their example.

Amma Ba‘du:

Have Taqwa Allah O Muslims and hold on to Islam with the must trustworthy handhold that will never break. Know that the Fire is real and that you will not be able to endure it. Be aware that the angel of death may have passed over you for someone else, but soon he will come for you. Be intelligent and prepare for what is after this worldly life.

O Muslims!
This worldly life is viewed in Islam as being important enough that it is not to be overlooked, while being so insignificant that it cannot be the purpose of existence.
“But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of legal enjoyment in this world, and do good as Allah has done good to you.” Al-Qasas 28:77

O Muslims!

We as Muslims must visualize two different nights that we surely will come across. First, enjoying the company of our family and friends. Having a cheerful and comfortable time without a care in the world. Laughing and jesting with the wife and the children.
Second, is the night that may follow the first with the difference being that the happiness is gone, the voices are silenced, and all is quite. It is the night of illness and racing hearts and thoughts. It is the night of failing strength, sorrow in place of happiness and lack of ability where there used to be prowess.

On that second night you will begin to reminisce about your youth and power. You will try to remember what have you spent your life in? Your youth is gone and so are the carefree days. Where has the wealth that you gather gone? Who will have possession of your home and belongings when you are no longer there? Who will look after your descendants and family? All of these thoughts creep into ones thought pattern while all the time asking: “What if I do not find a cure and regain strength?”

“And the stupor of death will come in truth: “This is what you have been avoiding!” Qaf 50:19
At this stage his color changes, his breath ceases, and his neck becomes in capable of raising his once mighty head. All beauty and tenderness are gone. His fluent tongue that was eloquent in prose and poetry is silenced. He sees but cannot react, he hears but cannot reply. No one can be of help or protection.

“Then why do you not intervene when (the soul of the dying person) reaches the throat?” And you at the moment are looking on, but We (our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not.” Al-Waqi‘ah 56:83-85

The stupor of death will remain until all physical connection with the body is severed. His soul is no longer present in the body that is encircled with family and friends bidding farewell. His name will no longer be relevant or spoken of.

O Muslims!

The greatest admonition and reminder for us is death. It is inescapable. No matter how long your life is, death is always near and present.

“Every soul shall taste the death. Then unto us you shall be returned.” Al-Ankabut 29:57

If Allah would have deemed infinite life for anyone it surely would have been His pure and honored Prophets and Messengers, especially al-Mustapha Muhammed (saaw). But the opposite is witnessed.

“Verily, you (Muhammed) will die and verily, they too will die.” Az-Zumar 39:30

Death is therefore inevitable. It reaches us in the highest of mountains, and the lowest of canyons. Whether in the air or underwater none can elude it. There is no place to hide, man, Jinn, and animals shall all taste death.

“Wherever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high!” An-Nisa 4:78

Where today is the once mighty Pharaohs? Where are ‘Ad and Thamud? Where are the Persians and the Romans? Where are the people of strength and arrogance?

Death is afraid of no one. It is not intimidated or sympathetic. It will take the young child from its mother. It will end the young life of a juvenile.

O Mankind!
Although death is always around us, and we are all well acquainted with its purpose, it is still a mystery that baffles all who study it.

Death! It is a frightening word. The heart falters when it is mentioned. Goosebumps cover the body at its remembrance. To ignore the inevitability of death is clear misguidance that will be a great calamity. No one forgets the reality of death without becoming arrogant and conceited.

The Prophet (saaw) said:
“Be constant in remembering the destroyer of desire; death.”

Allah also says:
“No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die.” Luqman 31:34

O Muslims!
Rasool-ul-Allah (saaw) said:
“Verily when a believing servant is about to part away from this world and approach the Hereafter, angels with white faces as bright as the sun descend upon him from heaven. With them there is a coffin out of the coffins of Paradise and perfumes from paradise. They take a seat near him at the distance of eyesight.

The soul comes out like flowing water from a beaker.
Then he (angel of death) takes it up, and the angels surrounding him do not leave it in his hand for the twinkling of an eye. They wrap it in the co ffin and then the most beautiful fragrance of musk found on the earth emits from him.

Then they ascend with him. They do not pass a group of angels unless they ask who is this pure soul? They reply it is “So and So son of So and So,” calling him with the best names he was know with on the earth.

They then approach the nearest heaven and seek an opening for the soul. The soul is transferred from heaven to the higher heaven until it reaches the seventh heaven.

The Almighty Allah says: ‘Write down the scroll of my slave on the highest heaven and send him back to the earth, from it I created them, to it I shall return them and from it they shall be brought out.’

The soul is then returned to the body. Afterwards two angels come to him and make him sit down asking him questions.

- Who is your Lord? He will answer by saying my Lord is Allah.
- What is your religion? He will answer by saying my religion is Islam.
- Who is the man that was sent amongst you? He will answer by saying the Messenger of Allah.
- What is your (source) of knowledge? He will answer by saying I read the book of Allah, I believed it and took it to be true.

A proclaimer from the heavens will then proclaim: ‘My servant has spoken the truth. Spread out for him a bed of paradise, give him a garment from paradise, and open a door for him unto paradise.” Its air and fragrance come to him, and his grave is spread wide out to the distance of eyesight.

A man with a beautiful face and dress, smelling of fragrance shall say: ‘Good news with that which gives you pleasures. This is your day of which you were warned. The believer will ask who are you? Your face can only come with good? The man will say I am you good deeds. At that moment the believer will say,

‘O Allah! Bring the Hour so that I may return to my family and wealth.
As for the disbeliever, when he is about to part away from this world and approach the Hereafter, angels with darkened faces descend upon him from heaven. With them there is a cloth. They take a seat near him at the distance of eyesight.

Afterwards the angel of death comes and sits near his head and says ‘O impure soul! Come out toward the Wrath of Allah.’ The soul comes out like iron pits being snatched out of wet wool.

Then he (angel of death) takes it, and the angels surrounding him do not leave it in his hand for the twinkling of an eye. They wrap it in the cloth and the foulest stench on the earth emits from him.
<>Then they ascend with him. They do not pass a group of angels unless they ask who is this impure soul? They reply it is “So and So son of So and So,” calling him with the worst names he was known with on the earth

They then approach the nearest heaven and seek an opening for the soul. No opening is found. The Messenger then recited: “The doors of heaven will not open for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel can enter the hole of a needle.” Al-A’raf 7:40

The Almighty Allah says: ‘Write down the scroll of my slave on the lowest hell and send him back to the lowest earth.’ It is hurled down as Allah (sw) says: “As if he has fallen from the sky and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place.” Al-Hajj 22:31

The soul is then returned to the body. Afterwards two angels come to him and make him sit down asking him questions.

- Who is your Lord? He will answer by saying Ah! Ah! I don’t know.
- What is your religion? He will answer by saying Ah! Ah! I don’t know
- Who is the man that was sent amongst you? He will answer by saying Ah! Ah! I don’t know.
- What is your (source) of knowledge? He will answer by saying Ah! Ah! I don’t know.

A proclaimer from the heavens will then proclaim: ‘My servant has spoken falsehood. Spread out for him a bed of fire, and open a door for him unto the fire.” Its heat and stench will come to him, and his grave is narrowed till his ribs are exchanged.

This is your day of which you were warned.’ The believer will ask who are you? Your face can only come with evil? The man will say I am you evil deeds. At that moment the believer will say, ‘O Allah! Do not bring the Hour.’” Narrated by Ahmed
Ibad Allah!

An excellent example for us is found in the life of as-Salaf as-Salih (Pious Predecessors) in all aspects of life, and death.

‘Umar bin Abdulaziz (ra) upon being elected Ameer-ul-Mu’mineen and giving the khutba, decided to take a nap. He was quickly approached by his son who said, ‘How do you know that you will live till Dhur?’ ‘Umar called for his son and kissed him on his forehead and said, “Praise is for Allah who has bless me with a son that corrects my faults in Deen.” He then went to the people and sat listening to their pleas.

‘Atta al-Sulami (ra) was asked how he was feeling during the illness that he passed away in. He answered by saying:

“Death is on my shoulders. The grave is in my hand. Resurrection is my ground. The bridge over the Fire is the Path (that I must cross). After all of this I am not sure what my Lord will do with me (Paradise or the Fire)?” He then cried and fainted. When he awoke he said:

“O Allah! Have mercy on me and be merciful to me in the isolation of the grave. Be merciful to me at the time of my death and on the day I will stand in front of You. You are the Most Merciful.”

Imam As-Shafi'ee (ra) was asked how he was feeling during the illness that he passed away in. He replied:

“I feel that I am leaving the Dunya, abandoning my friends and brothers. I feel that because of my sins I will see what I have been promised. I will soon stand in front of my Lord. I do not know if I should congratulate my soul for being from the people of Paradise, or should I give it my pity for being from the people of the Fire?”

O confused soul! Know that the fleeting sensation of happiness is brief, while punishment is forever lasting. Peculiar indeed is the one who has a short moment of pleasure at the expense of the despondency that will follow his sin. Evil is the sin that will produce tears and depression. We seek refuge in Allah from heedlessness and depraved offspring.

I ask Allah to Forgive you and I and the rest of the Muslim Ummah. Surely He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

Praise is for Allah, and we send Salah on Muhammed (saaw) the final Prophet.

Amma Ba‘du:

Have Taqwa Allah and know that this Dunya is a place of test and trial. For this reason Allah Ordained Death and Life. This Dunya is immersed in hardship and calamities. None escape having pain and sorrow. All live, and all shall die.

How many kings and emperors, those, who ruled lands and peoples, escaped death? Their dominion and kingdoms, armies and fame could be of no help to them. What these mighty personalities faced, will be the fate of every other living being. Why then do we not prepare for this inevitable end?

“The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, until you visit the graves (till you die). Nay! You shall come to know! Again, Nay! You shall come to know! Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things). Verily, you shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! Then on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world). At-Takathur 102

My dear brothers and sisters in Faith, I beg you for your own sake to have Taqwa Allah (Fear Allah) for indeed you will one day return to Him (SWT)!

Is listening to music, chatting indecently with non-Muhrams whether on the internet, phone or face-to-face, really worth losing your chance of eternal happiness? Think about this my dear brothers and sisters in Faith!
Undoubtedly these private chats are not regarded as khulwah in the sense that the people involved canA lot of brothers and sisters go to chatrooms and freely mix with eachother stating that it's harmless because they cannot see eachother, mainly private chatting with one another. Sharee’ah blocks all the ways that may lead to fitnah (temptation, trial), hence it forbids softness of speech and does not allow a man to be alone with a non-mahram woman.not see one another, but they are one of the greatest causes of fitnah as is well known.

How often have these conversations lead to bad results, and even caused people to fall in love, and have led some to do things that are even more serious than that. The Shaytaan makes each of them imagine attractive qualities in other, which leads them to develop an attachment that is detrimental to their spiritual welfare and worldly affairs.

Correspondence between young men and women involves a great deal of fitnah and danger, so we must avoid it, even though one may say that this correspondence is free from immorality and love.
This is the way that is known to end in what we see and hear and read about those who use these means to approach the opposite gender. How many men have lost their religious commitment and how many women have lost their honour?

It is haraam for a person to establish relationships with women or men who are “strangers” to him or her [i.e., non-mahrams] and to correspond with them, so how about if that correspondence also involves obscene words such as words of love and romance?

Shaykh ‘Abd-Allaah al-Jibreen said, when he was asked about corresponding with a non-mahram woman:

This action is not permissible, because it will provoke desire between them and will make them want to meet one another. This kind of correspondence often causes fitnah (temptation) and plants the seeds of zina in the heart, which leads to evil actions. So we advise those who are seeking that which is in their own best interests and who wish to protect themselves to avoid writing to or speaking with non-mahrams, etc., so as to protect their religious commitment and their honour, and Allaah is the Source of help.

For my dear brothers and sisters in Faith who imitate the kuffar (i.e. celebrities) by dressing, talking, acting like them.... don't you know that it is forbidden to imitate them by wearing clothing that is unique to them and following the customs that are unique to them, such as imitating them by shaving the beard.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 3512; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.

Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir said in his commentary on Musnad Ahmad (10.19): “This hadeeth clearly indicates that it is haraam to imitate the kuffaar in one's dress, one's way of life and one’s appearance. There has been no scholarly difference of opinion on this point from the earliest generations.”

Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Imitating them in outward matters leads to imitating them in attitude and actions, hence we are forbidden to imitate the kuffaar, the Persians and the Bedouin, and both men and women are forbidden to imitate the opposite sex, as it says in the marfoo’ hadeeth: ‘Whoever imitates a people is one of them.’” Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 22/154.

My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, do not know that you will be questioned about how or what you used your sight, hearing, and your heart for?

Allah (SWT) tells us,

“Verily, the hearing, and the sight, and the heart of each of those ones will be questioned (by Allaah)”

[al-Isra’ 17:36]

Do you use your sight to look at things that are haram/forbidden in Islam such as looking non-muharams or going to pornographic websites? Or do you use it to look at the wonderful creation of Allah (SWT) and at halal things?

Do you use your hearing to listen to haram/forbidden things such as music? Or do you use to hear the speech of Allah (SWT), your Creator (i.e. the Qur'an)?

Is your heart filled with the love of Allah (SWT)? Or is it filled with the love of some non-muhram or the love for this dunya?

May Allah (SWT) guide us to the straight path and grant us all Jannah...Ameen

My dear brothers and sisters in Faith, I really hope we all take these advices and change for the better before it's too late!!!
Lets repent to Allah (SWT) before death comes to us and it will be too late for indeed a persons' repentance is not accepted when the person is on their deathbed!

O Allah! Give strength to Islam and Muslims.
O Allah! Humiliate the Disbelief and disbelievers. Destroy O Allah the enemies of Islam.
O Allah! Accept the repentance of those who ask for it.
O Allah! Relieve the pain of those in hardship, give health to those in illness, and end the debt of those in debt.
O Allah! Make our graves the best of places, wide and painless.
O Allah! Strength our footing on the bridge and have mercy on us on the Day we are Judged by You.
O Allah! Allow us to perform righteousness before our death and demise.
O Allah! Grant us in this Dunya a blessing and in the Hereafter a blessing. And save us from the punishment of the Fire.
