DO BE DIPLOMATIC

Post by gobdoon »

For him insisting there are foreign terrorists in Mogadishou is a big mistake and a big judgement, sometimes I wonder what's the difference between him and M.DHERE they bath make loose talks and undeplomatic statements and his comments is certainly not helping the situation, niether does the head of the Islamic courts when he says that there are Ethiopian troops in Baidabo and they will attachk it or foreign peace keepers can not be brought in in the country, that's certainly a self intrest and he wants and he plans the Islamic courts to be the only authority in Mogadishou, but I suggest let us have a government and let Sheiks be confided in the Mosques, because I certainly think they can't run the country but certainly they should play their part and welcome the interim gov./parliement to Mogadishou,You see if we don't respect the interim gov. and build on with what we started,it's going to be a waste of effort and it will set back the efforts to bring back peace and reconciliation.

It doesn't have to be exact copy cat of democracy in the West I know it has it's ills, but democracy is not somthing new it's something we are born with to be fair and just and be equal before the law is not something new.untill one dictator comes along and takes it away from us.

gobdoon,

Foreign troops = colonialization

Unfortunately, C/Yussuf has shown he can betray Somalia before and he will betray it again for his own selfish interests.

the courts after taking Mogadishu extended a hand out to the Transitional Federal Govt. They said they would welcome a government chosen by the people and they indicated they didn't want power exclusively.

However, what did C/Yussuf do? He started talking harshly to the people who did him a favor in removing the warlords.

All the courts said was that they will not allow foreign peacekeepers into Somalia and MANY, if not MOST Somalis agree with that. C/Yussuf is only interested in foreign troops because he is willing to do anything to hold on to power. With foreign forces in Somalia, do you think this guy will give up being the president voluntarily?

No, he will probably declare a state of emergency or something.

C/Yussuf has no track record of doing anything constructive for the Somali people whereas at least the courts did good things where they governed.

If he wants the courts to recognize him, he should take the foreign troops off the table.

Foreign troops in Somalia is just a way for foreign people to control the politics of Somalia.

First come AU troops, then Ethiopian troops, then CIA, then UN.........you will have too many hands in Somali affairs and Somalis won't be able to control their own destiny. Democracy is when Somalis govern Somalis. Occupation is when you have foreign powers telling Somali leaders what to do.

Somalis should be against this threat to their sovereignty...........and if C/Yussuf insists on this then he should be permanently exiled at the least.

The courts are right for threatening violence against the transitional government if they bring in foreigners.

All I can tell you is the jurry is out for the courts, their intentions are to be proven,we have to see what's their objective and if they are above QABTALAD,especially when they have people like INDHACADE in their ranks, but A/llahi yusuf is an individual and the parliement will deselect him sooner or later.

So if they deselect him and the foreign troops are in Somalia, then what?

I don't think foreign troops can be authorized by the TFG.........they haven't even been elected by the Somali people.

I really don't know how it was chosen really.

I really haven't seen a concrete case about IndhoCadde..........they say he operates drug farms, but I don't think he would last long in Islamic Courts operating drug farms.
