okay so i got a questions for u uk kids, les see what chu think. why is it that black people can't seem to rise above the "no good, im gangsta, street mentality" and actually do somethin??? dont get me wrong, i realize there are black folk out there that are risin above the stereotypes and actually doin somethin with themselves. but sadly, thats not the majority of us. so exactly when are we gonna act like we have more to offer to the good of society besides CDs full of profanity and obscenities?? yes i realize that not all rap music is bad, trust me, i listen to rap too. but is it really necessary to try to mimick everything you see in a music video? there's nothin wrong with bein into the music without bein of the music. fellas, when are you gonna stop worryin so much about ur street credit and start focusin more on ur high school and college credits??? hmm...i wonder. black people are forever talkin about bein oppressed and held back, but do we realize that we're the ones inflicting the oppression on ourselves. now for real...let's think about how DUMB that is. so how about this: ladies, stop spendin all your time tryin to stuff ya big booties into the smallest pair of jeans on the rack. fellas, stop spendin all your time slippin ya little skinny behinds into jeans that are 5 times too big and shirts that come down to ya ankles, and pick up a book or somethin. educate yourselves. defy the statistics. take pride in your heritage. make somebody proud of you. be about somethin. cuz its really about time.

Our brothers and also sisters are out there trying to imitate and behave in such a disgraceful manner, no wonder music is haram.

The role models they have are people such as Tupac or Biggie if such people are who you aspire to be or who you really respect you will end up acting and behaving like them.

As muslim our role models should be prophet Mohamed peace be upon him and his wifes and all the other prophets may Allah swt be pleased with them.
Why cant they be our role models? People who went though a struggle to spread Islam, we should aspire to be like them as that will get us far in this life and the eternal life which is the hereafter.
