Salam Alekum hope you are well. There are many misconceptions about women in Islam and accusation such as they not treated right funnily enough is coming from men also many muslim.

Subxannalah we know Islam is the right religion and the holy Quran is in fact a miracle yet many people question it turn back to the Deen before is too late we should be so happy that we born Muslims. Alhamdullah.

I am sick and tired of the ignorance of some people especially the ones that think the Hijab oppresses us. The hijab is beautiful and it sets us free is ironic that many people think wearing revealing clothes, make up, high heels and the whole lot means that your free little realising that they just controlled by this crazy society we are living in where they have to rely on their looks to get somewhere in life.
Islam is the growest religion in the world and most reverts are women.

Women in Islam are respected and held in high regard. We will never find success and/or solutions to our problems until we realise that Allaah knows best and that this disbelieving society will ruin itself.

my muslim sister, i hope that it is not my earlier thread that has caused you this distress. i was merely stating that it was non muslim who suggest that muslim women are treated unfairly.(a topic that they have no experience in) i disagree with this lame and ridiculous suggestion. infact as a practicing muslim, i do not see the hijab as oppression and i do it willingly. my thread was to point out this very fact: that muslim women do not feel oppressed and that non muslims should stop fighting a war that is non existent. their weak trials to divide muslims will only ever be weak trials.

No sis is fine I did understand your topic is annoying that people that dont know the Deen and that are not even females trying to get ideas into your head make you think that something is a certain way when it clearly isnt. They will be sorry on the day of Standing.

Under Islam women are not considered less intelligent there is a reason. Women are more sentimental and emotional than men. This is because being the natural mothers their best resource is their feelings and emotions. And when it comes to giving testimony there is always a risk of their being moved by their feelings which may affect their judgments. This has no derogatory effect on the status of womenÂ’s intelligence.

Women are lacking religion for a reason. When a woman has her monthly period she stops praying and that contributes to her lack of religion. IÂ’m pretty sure you know all this. So stop distorting the image of Islam women.

And for the record Women are not animals. Islam proudced the most honorable examples of women that can be leaders of women libration everywhere. In many cases women were, in fact teachers of religion for thousands of men. So how can you claim that women are ignorance, under Islam?.

The absurd argument that a fully grown woman of sound mind cannot sit in a courtroom chair and give a recollection of events she may have witnessed because she'll break down in tears is not only an insult to a woman's ability to carry out a simple task as giving a testimony, but it's to equate women with little children whose hands need to be constantly held.

This is a ridiculous attempt to once again sideline women . A woman who may have witnessed a brutal mugging, a violent assualt, or a similar crime is prevented from assisting the police in their prosecution case on the sole basis that she's a woman, whose single testimony therefore must be inherently unreliable .

Why don't you let women be judges of their own mental state?

Let me guess, you are one of those people who believe, women are next only slaves and minors under the banner of Islam, if that is the case, than I feel sorry for your current wife. Poor soul.

Do you know that paradise is under the feet of mothers. This means that the only gate of paradise is through gaining the pleasure and satisfaction of mothers. So you can't even compare between the two.

Anyhow Islam honors women in all their capacities as mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters. And thats all that matters. amiiin

I fully agree Nabeela. Islam honours women so much so that that it granted them the privilege of being able to feel the full force of their husband's strength:

"And those whose rebellion you fear, admonish them and leave them alone in the beds, and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; God is surely High, Great." (Sura Nisa Chapter 4:34)

How much more honour and respect can one ask for?

"As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, and (last) beat them (lightly, IF it is useful), but if they return to obedience, seek not against them. Surely, Allah is ever most high,most great"(4:34)

Clearly there are stages of discipline,and a husband should not skip to an advanced stage until the one before, it becomes impossible. Which you failed to mention. First stage involves admonishing oneÂ’s wife. In the second stage he should stay away from the bed they share, and the third he should hit her lightly not hurt her because he is only allowed to hit her lightly, just to show her the seriousness of the situation, but definitely not with intensity. Stop twisting AllahÂ’s words you dimwit.

Nabeela---Dont bother with AA. As Allah says in His quraan there are those that strive to put out Allahs light(meaning the holly Quraan) but they will never succeed as Allahs light shall prevail. Having said that AA should know by now ( if he doesnt alreday) that we Muslims are taught to follow the prophets way of life Ie his sunnah. And there is no where in his sunnah where he bashed any of his wives, nor is there any evidence of him encouraging wives to be bashed. In fact the prophets last speech he delivered emphasised the need for men to be kind to their wives. And the best among men are those that are kind to their wives.( AA must have skipped this vital piece of information for some odd reason one wonders why?)


mY sincere advice for our lost brother AA is to read about our beloved prophet a man of sound intellect and character perhaphs by Allahs will he maybe guided.
