So often it is said in circles of young Somalis in the west that once Somalia is stable they will pack up and return home.
If the Islamists succeed and are able to stablise and prosper, will so many who claimed they would contribute to the peace and reconstruction return? Would you?
keeping to your word

Hambalayo---Would I return? I would return but NOT to magadisho. The place is cursed. Period!.
I am more than willing to live in Beledweyne and open my medical centre where I always visioned myself to be(home sweet home).
I believe we the young generation are the future hope of Somali we are the only ones who could perhaps put the missing pieces together. Nevertheless its the young generation that are reluctant to go back. Everyone is happy with their welfare no-one is thinking of going back. I have seen few that went back. But these are men who have something to go back to. The young generation is afraid to go back simple because they will not be able to survive. They are less educate then the previous generations , less sophisticated, less determined and most of all they have been brainwashed to believe Somali is nothing. No jobs no nothing.
So where does that leave the hope of once rebuilding Somalia? There are many problems facing the somali ppl today especially ones in the west!!!!
