True Love story somali style.. loool

This is a kinda funny story and also ironic at the same time about how somalis are, it happened round my ends a while ago, it was between a guy named Sharmake and agirl called Nimco.
both of them used to go to my college, and they used to be a couple as long as i have known them, from high school till college, anyway when college was done, they both decided to get engaged yea, so sharmake told his mom that he wanted to get married and that.

his mom told him well before u say anything to anyone let me find a bit more info about this girl so dont tell ur dad after she done a little research she came back and told him that she girl has already been given to some other guy who lives in america and that she was due to get married when the guy finishes his studies in america who is also her cousin.
when sharmake found this out he was like ehart broken so he told nimco everything and when nicmo found this out she thought it was all lies, but then she realised it was the truth after she heard some stories from her auntie, cus her mom and dad was keeping this a secret from her.

anyway nimco was proba vexed that her mom and dad secretly kept this from her and wanted to set her up jus like that, so her and shakrmake decided to jus move away together and get engaged from the mosque.
for a while they both jus dissapeared no one knew where they went, the 2 families didnt know each other or anything, the girls family thought she was dead and told the police and everything.

but the guys mom knew where they were she actually gave he son money to move out and marry the girl away from her family, walahi that old lady is a joka, anyway they rented some place outside london i think it was manchester they stayed their for like couple of months got engaged,
after a while the guys father found out everything and deiced that his son did something crazy so he went to the girls family and told them everything and to appoligise.

when the girls family found out there was like a biiiiiig war between the families, anyway the girls family realsed she was already married, and by this time the girl was pregnant , anyway they told her they will forgive her jus come back and lets to things right, after they came back they had a nice wedding the 2 families became freinds and now they live happily together and have a little girl who is nearly 2 years old.

what a way to get married lol... what u lot think about this, who was wrong the girls parents, the bos mom, or the actuall couple.

the parents were obviously wrong, but da daughter should have simply told dem dat she aint marryin da ova guy in america

and somali's rarely have arrnaged marrieges anyway its an asian ting

Salam, whats wrong with arranged marriages? In this case it was wrong as she should have been aware of the situation, deception is haram.

FAIR ENOUGH IF DA GURL DOESNT MIND ONE AND SHE HAS BEEN CONSULTED,

Of course both the boy and girl need to be consulted, if she is not and is forced the marriage isnt valid.

I can pick a guy myself but will it no go against Islam? E.g Lower your gaze.

Allah swt will shade many groups of judgement day and one of those are the ones that loved each other for Allah swt sake.
