Will Zizou be able to repeat history?

Post by Sir-Luggoyo »

So far, great names failed to live up to their expectations in the soccer world and new names emerged as a future power. Will Zizou realize the French dream? In 98 he beat Brazil to lift the trophy, so far, he beat Brazil, will he subsequently lift the ultimate trophy and waltz out of football gracefully?

Andrea Pirlo has totally dominated the Germans in their country and showed he is a force to reckon with, the guy was simply unstopable.

Fabio Cannavaro has been the best player this WC by a country mile. Rock solid, and hasnt set a foot wrong. Everything he has done has been perfection. up

And about Zinedine Zidane, if he wins this WC with France then he will go down in the bokos of Legends,.

Ronaldinho will have to alot to surpass Zidane, which I personally dont hope he does. I and dont think he will do either.

Beenaale,

You are one of the few here whose football opinions I highly value, but I have to differ you here, Marcello Lippi just loves the guy and he was doing good but not that great. On the other hand, Pirlo was like the chain link that held the whole team together and was creating most of the chances for the team.

I believe experience beat talent on that day. Lippi played offensive in full force in the last half, because he knew he has good defence and the result was a win.

It's funny how the French team is composed primarily of the African immigrants & blacks who were largely discriminated against & marginalized by the mainstream French society.

Who knows, maybe it will become the style in France now for high class French girls to go "slummin" in the ghettos of France with a Senegali, Moroccan, or Tunisian.

Experience do beat talent on most days. Look at Spain v France, the old men came on top over the young kids

The other day BBC was analyzing Fabio Cannavaro and his defensive qualities. He's been Italy's best and most consisting player. Everything he has done has been perfect.

Pirlo has also been an important factor for Italy. His the heart and soul of the Italian midfield, and he links the defence with the attack.

But me personally, after what Ive seen, I would def go for Mr Cannavaro
