AL MAGHRIB INSTITUTE

Post by Gacalisa »

This weekend has by far been the best weekend of my life, not only because i have received tremendous knowledge on Islam, but because it was the best way to recieve that knowledge and the most informative.

I went to Maryland this weekend for a class with AL MAGHRIB INSTITUTE, which is a Islamic institute that teaches you everything about Islam that a Muslim needs to know, from the whole Sharia, to towheed, to fiqh, and the list goes on.

The class that i have attended was called RIZQ MANANGMENT, which focuses on the FIQH OF ZAKAH, FIQH OF SIYAM, and THE FIQH OF HAJJ, we have only covered the fiqh of Zakah, so far, and Insha Allah finish the rest next Weekend.

the institute allows you to take a class for two weekends, and after a month you will take a final test on everything you learned, get graded, and get a degree.

the classes are on the weekend, starting on friday night; from 7;00 to 10, and all day saturday and sunday, starting at 10;00 to 8pm. you get a 10min break every two hours, and a two hour lunch break. the 10min breaks usually are about the same time as the salaat.

Been masheekaayi, but the things i learned about the zakah, i have never learded it before, and all seemed new and foreign, and that is the worst feeling to have.

these classes are best for those who havea hard time in going to Egypt or Medina to get good Islamic knowledge, especially for women.

the classes are all over north American.

Wallahi this institute is amazing, and the thing is all of the classes are taught in English, and the instructors graduated from Medinah university, and they all grew up in North America, and most of them were born here.

go to the website if you want more info www.AlMaghrib.org

i loved every minute of my weekend Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

except the loooooonnnnnnnnggggggg ride, and us being lost the a lot of times.

Somehow i find it VERY hard believing you are a genuine religious person. You smell more of a trendy perfume than the proverbial stinking Cadar the acquan somali women wear. Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing Laughing

Does it teaches you a thief's hand has to be cut and an adulterer stoned?

Arabman, qute "Does it teaches you a thief's hand has to be cut and an adulterer stoned?

Speaking of a thief. Who is a thief?

1. Is the thief the one that breaks into houses and steals stuff?
2. Is he the one that breaks into cars and steals stuff?
3. Is he the one that does fraud to recieve money that he wasn't supposed to ?
4. Is he the one that claims a sickness he does not suffer, but does that to get money?
5. Is he one of those that call their children Bastards... To recieve welfare?
6. Is he the one who abuses his power and steals the public proberty Xoolo Qaran ?
7. Is he the one who is residing a house that is not his "Bililiqo" Question

Who do you call a thief walaal?

"...atleast not on the first offense."

So, you're saying it's OK to cut the hand for the second offense?

"...thats just barbaric"

How so? Let's look at this scenario; thief A lives in the West, gets arrested for stealing and sentenced to prison for several months. Thieves read about his arrest and sentencing, and conclude it's a matter of spending several months in prison and getting fat (factoid: prisoners gain weight). Thief B lives in an Islamic country, gets arrested for stealing and sentenced to his hand being cut. Thieves read about his arrest and sentencing, and conclude it's a grave matter of losing one's precious hand. Now, which thieves are likely to stay away from stealing?

"Who do you call a thief walaal?"

Someone who makes a living by stealing from others.

i can understand (even though i wouldn't personally support it) cutting the hands of repeat offenders. that is men who can't be rehabilitated or don't want to hold a job and earn their livelihood.

if you cut off someones hand whos going to take care of that person Confused

some people steal so that they could finance their xaraam habits like drinking etc but others steal because they are fukking starving Idea i'm pretty sure a great number of thiefs would not steal if they had other options like JOBS.

people, stealing is stealing is stealing, no matter the reason, and all should face the consiquences and be punished for it.

and a theive is someone who steals and there is nothing to it.

if a poor person steals they should too face the punishment, because as muslims we help each other and try to provide for our brothers and sisters, and if there is on in need the community should be well aware of that need, and the needy should stand forth and proclaim it.

I am not satisfied with your answer... Shocked

What do you mean by stealing?

In what way? Do you regard all the ones I mentioned in my first post as theft? Surprised

kambuli, I understand what you're trying to talk about; the Islamic Courts. If you want to talk about that, open a new topic.

Arabman,

I hate walaahay when somebody thinks that he can read what is in the mind of someone else Exclamation You are deadly wrong walaal.

What I am trying to talk about is "What our people call theft" Basically all the examples I gave you were what is happening in the west... except ofcourse people who live in e.g. houses they do not own...

Talk about it... As an expert of Islamic Issues I want to hear from you what do you call Theft Shocked And who deserves to have his hands chopped off.... The one little boy who stole a piece of candy or the Minister who looted what was trusted with him or the guy who is occupying a house that was not his or the guy who is collecting welfare on the basis of lies...
