who would you be more likely to be influenced by
Who influences you (as a person) more? Friends or family?
I say family. Sure there's peer pressure, but in the end what your family teaches you by example is always what you'll live up to. You're influenced by their expectations before you are ever influenced by your friends' expectations. Your family has the power (? is that the right word?) to tell you what to do as well so even if you don't like doing what your family expects of you, often you end up doing it anyway. Your families beliefs often become your own as well.
Any thoughts?

No Growing up--i was influenced by mom first--then my dad-- & then basically famous historically figures when i become into ....'books'---- family & friends-- as much as i love them---dont seem to influence me.In fact i am bored by them---very few of family or friends i hold them in high esteem.I mean --i treat them as any other normal person will regard them- unblissful generic affections!

I always was the black sheep of the family. When my parent say right I would say left. Now as an adult I found my self talking to my younger siblings just like my parents did and order them to do what I used to reject few years ago. Some times I pause and ask my self is this me or some one else. Strange.

I just feel sad for those drug addicts who were influenced by their friends rather than their parents. Look where they are now.

I never feel 'sad' for drug addicts, I wish them more misery and early exit from here.
What about their mothers? They didn't deserve any of this. They came to America hoping for better lives. Now they have to live in fear of losing their children to some wierd drugs.
