There is no fountain of youth, there is no elixir that will increase your brainpower and thereÂ’s no magic pill that will allow you to pig out without gaining any weight.

Maybe Elvis really is gobbling Whoppers at your local Burger King, because American researchers have developed a vaccine which prevents weight gain in rats, offering hopes that it might also be effective in fat pigs, hmm, I mean chubby human beings.

According to BBC News:

“The vaccine prompts the body to produce antibodies against ghrelin, a hormone that stimulates hunger and weight gain.

Vaccinated rats put on less weight while eating the same amount as those which did not have the jab.”

I stay in shape because I eat sensibly, lift weights and jog every day. What kind of a world would it be if an Oprah Winfrey or Queen Latifah ate bonbons and watched TV all day long and looked as slim as Maria Sharapova?

IÂ’m not obese because I shake my bonbons at the gym, if Oprah wants to loss all that fat, she can do the same thing. Actually the talk show queen has no excuse for being overweight, she can hire a personal trainer to keep her in shape and a nanny to slap her fat wrist every time she reaches for a bonbon.

The researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in California should be developing vaccines for AIDS or cancer. IÂ’m not a religious person, but a vaccine that allows a person to engage in gluttony without paying a price, is just wrong.

IÂ’m hoping that in a few months those rats will explode, so that there will be no chance that this vaccine will ever be available for human beings.
