I know Somalis who have married anything from Chinese to Indians to Jamaicans to Brazilians but never a Jew. It is wrong for a muslim Somali to marry anyone that is not Muslim. Marrying a Jew could be seen as worse than marrying an atheist by some people.

Personally, IÂ’ve always felt uneasy around Jews I donÂ’t know why. Even the ones I used to do projects with. I could have a laugh with them and they could even see me as a friend, but inside, I always saw an image of this Palestinian kid that was shot on the arms of his father when I look at them. To me it would be a betrayal to all Muslims to marry a Zionist Israeli, I think I would get over a Somali person IÂ’m related to marrying a non-Zionist Jew but I would still feel uneasy around them.
