Somalilanders never missing an opportunity to promote

recognition for Somaliland. Sometimes they take it to the next level and create opportunities out of thin air. Just now I was on a football forum discussing football in Africa when some crazy qaldaan wrote the following passage:
"While Somalia is engaged in a tug of war between the Islamists and the feeble TFG, the as yet unrecognized Somaliland has established stability and conducted democratic elections for the presidency and the parliament. It is unfair for the international community to hold Somaliland hostage to the events in Somalia. Somaliland deserves recognition after all it has done in the past 15 years. Somalia should take a cue from Somaliland and resolve its problems without meddling from other countries."

What we were discussing had nothing to do with Somaliland or even politics for that matter. You got to love their patriotism.

Only if we somalis were more like the somalilanders.

You have to add it is purely Issaq thing.
I have never seen Gedabursi, Warsangeli or Dhulbahante calling himself Somalilander apart from politicians in the news.
The Isaqs are playing lame ducks only to come out with their swords after recognition and put the "minorities" in their place.

I didn't know you're full of hatred!
This is another one from Qaldaans....
Their compatriot can bash and insult other clans while none of them will dare tell them to stop and when a guy like Qansa says something about Somaliland is not going to be recognized then and then You'll be called all nasty names and all Isaaq and even the Isaaq Liberal Djiboutians will be on your tail.

Qansa,
I don't see any problem for a S-Lander advocating for S-Land recognition. If it is their wish, who are we to stop them? The one thing I always have a clash with Faqash and Hutu is the secessation of S-Land, if it comes from the public and it is their desire to secede from the South, and if the public are not being hijacked by prominent figures who have ulterior sinister motives, then I am all for it. Let them decide their fate, who are we to dictate to them whether to secede or stay with others?
