Salaam all,

sister Nagin i understand where you coming from and is true that ramadan is around the corner and we should prepare ourselfs for it. We also have to take our deen seriously. In the Prophet's {saw} time it was the youth like ourselfs who used to stand up and make scarifice for our deen. It was youth who raised the Islamic flag in the air during the islamic battles and lost both of his arms. we should use them as our role models. So please lets think before is too late.

wasalaam

I hope this benefits y'all Smile

Inshallah tallah ^^^ my brother Victory joy. Its true youths's where the ones who rise Islam (alhamdulilah): Smile I just wish too see more new generation muslimahs come forward too there religion. When I mean COME FORWARD I mean having pride in there deen. Just the way most of us have pride where we come from!!! We should have that bond with our deen too. Inshallah....

Salaam Nagin...looooooooool am not a brother by the way....am a muslimah...but is ok...is my name i guess...........Anyways sis you got a point about being proud of our deen like we are proud of our country. I hear youths discussing how proud they are about their Qabils and family names and how their Granparents were heros..BUT i never hear them talking about the importance of islam and our beloved prophet{saw} or any of that sort.......it kind makes me think....am a youth my self trying and fighting everyday to practice my deen and work for hereafter NOT only this crazy dunya...Anyways sis hope u doing well and hold tight to the rope of Allah.....wasalaam my sis

Nagin...You probably heard that somalis are the only race that can easily adapt another culture.I dont mine them adapting the good things about other cultures but they tend to adapt the bad ones.In the past fifteen years somalis have lost interest deen. Its kinda funny how everyone because religious during the ramadan time,i wonder why cant they be religious 24/7.

Wacelykum salaam ...^^^ Dangirl lol yes I had that thought of thinkning for many years. You know I asked the same question to someone before...and they said " Whalahi I think its in our genes?" kkkkk WHAT SILLY EXCUESS.. It's funny how most Somalis mantain and adapt other culture and tribe and so on ....but put there deen to on the shelve and leave it DUST...and when Ramadan comes along its time too blow off the dust out of the shelves.... Question Question Question Sad

I agree there Nagin when it comes to deen we tend to run away from it,i dont know why but we do it.Its not because we're not religious, but we like to avoid it,because we think when discussing religion should be done in a religous place.Nowadays the things that happening around us makes us feel ashame of our religious which is complete bullsh.it.
