An Ignored Verse in the Qur'an...!

"If anyone killed a person, unless it was for murder or spreading mischief on earth, it would be as if he killed all of mankind. And if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he had saved the lives of all mankind." (Qur'an, 5:32)

..."spreading mischief in the world...." is open to interpretation like so many other suras in the Quran. This sura can be intrepreted in different ways. What is the definition of 'mischief' who defines? on what authority?

caan nuuq, First ..where was this verse writtenÂ… second what if these people that are killing believe that they are defending their ummaÂ…isn't jihad based on "selfdefence" ?
