Other than the fact Allah is dead set against promiscuity (and that says not much since he doesn't exist), what rational reasons exist promiscuity is necessarily inimical lifestyle? If it's between consenting adults and no one is hurt, why should it draw so much negative reaction?

Of course, this is complete red herring. Promscuity levels between the secular/Western world and devout Islamic world is about the same. Muslims are more adept at concealing their opprobrious misdeeds (at least to them!). And hypocritcal to boot. I mean they got polygamy and fleeting 1 or 2 day marriages designed for the sole purpose of sexual gratification.
