Xassan Turki was appointed by the Wahabi Gangsters of the Islamic Courts Union as the Capo of Kismaayo after they wrested control of that town from Barre Hiiraale, the Mareexaan peacelord.

Xassan Turki openly bragged about the fact that his forces were boosted by foreign fighters from diverse muslim countries, from as far afield as Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Under the Islamic Courts Union, Somalia is well on the way to becoming a terrorist haven.

The man isn't even a high profile leader. He recently came out of the wood work when Kismayo fell to the Islamic courts. If he is added to the list of wanted terrorists, it won't change his firm beliefs of fundamentalism. I read an article somewhere about the background of Hassan Turki. He used to have a small army in one of the Islands near Kismayo after escaping his motherland, Ogaden, for murder charges. Those charges have not been proven yet, but I am thinking their objections otherwise might be contested by the families of the deceased. Also, the decision that led to this edict by the homeland security could be his recent proclamation that the recapture of Kismayo by the Islamic courts were aided by foreign fighters, calling them "brothers".
