SEPERATION OF RELIGION

Post by gobdoon »

Do you think it's a good idea in the West where many countries religion and politics and every day live is seperated,do We have as Muslims something to learn from them where religion should be something personal, I know that's against the principle of Islam, but may be We should adapt in the 21 century, especialy those of us who are living in the West where the hate of anything Islam is going up and up,may be it's better to put your head down and keep your religion to yourself inorder to live peacefuly with our host communities, and try to integrate and be proude of your new identity of being British or say American.

Gobdoon, that's the point of a guy like Tariq Ramadan. He says he's muslim and European, and both things don't collide each other. It's possible to be muslim and practise his religion and being a European citizen worried about the European matters and working for the community. I think he has a very positive attitude. He doesn't reject the European values at the same time that he practises his own religion. "If I'm European, why do I have to wear Saudi clothes or drink camel milk?", he says. He's trying to separate not religion, but arabic/muslims traditions or culture and common life. He's the example, for me, of a modern muslim.

Im not a huge fan of Tariq Ramadan

But to the Q,. No, you cannot seperate it. And if you know it, so why suggest it. Islam is a way of life, We talk, walk and breathe Islam.

Of course we have to follow and respect the laws of the country we live in, but we are supposed to act upon our religion everyday of the week.

And besides, you supposed to spread the word of Allah. Not "put your head down and keep your religion to yourself" as you said.

Ever heard of tree dalaqaa system? The first, second and the third which is finito, means the marriage is over, they can't marry each other again, not until she marry and divorce some other dude first. They can get together and start again (fresh start) after she divorce her second husband Laughing

The fall of Islam was exactly THE ADAPTION TO MODERNISM, and who ever told you that there is a separation of religion.

if there was witnesses would not have to swear to God to the truth and the whole truth

if there was gay marriage would be allowed freely and happily

if there was stem cell research would be allowed

there is not such thing as seperation of religion. we as Muslims must stop trying to ADAPT to the "mentalaties" of the west and bring forth our own rules and regulations using what we best know RELIGION, and separation of it will utimatly call for sepearation of the believe.
