Jack Straw wants Muslim women to remove their veils

Well, this afternoon I was listening to 606 and apparantly Jack Straw (ex-foreign secretary) said that Muslim women should remove the veil when they come to see him. at his constituency surgery in Blackburn

Quote unquote "the veil is a visible statement of separation and of difference". And he also said its "enabling him to see what the other person means, and not just hear what they say".

And then as usual a bunch of people came on and said the usual BS "muslim women are oprressed, their are forced to wear the gear bla bla bla"

Correct me if Im wrong, but werent this the country where they value Freedom of speech and expression so highly?

Freedom and expression only to applies to white, non-muslims only.

Where the hell are their husbands/brothers/leaders??

He has every right to say that...its the women's fault.

He was speaking to ALL women who wears it. Not only those who came to see him.

What annoyed me the most was the morons who came on the Radio and said that they find it offensive when they are speaking to women who have their faced covered. And they need to i"ntegrate to British way of life" and if they didnt do that they could go to Saudi Arabia or somewhere over there.

To agree with Mr Straw is one thing, but to pull out that garbage is just ignorant. Next thing you know, wearing Khamiis is offensive.
