THE UN IS LEAVING MOG WHY?

Post by Galol »

Whatever we think of the Wadaads it is without doubt they made Mogadishu safer for the ordinary citiizenry.

So how come the UN which remained there during the most violent and lawless days decided to evacuate its foreign staff now?

According to them they received written threats which they are taking seriously. I wonder who is behind this?

Wadaads are not versed in the art of diplomacy so if they wanted them out they would have said so up front - they do not need to hide behind threats.

Now I am no lover of the Wahabbist morons but I am really smelling a nasty rat here. Who exactly wants the people who depend on the UN for sustenenace to suffer just to score points against Wadaads? Am I just being suspicious or is there a conspiracy to further discredit the Wadaads?

Is the Bay govt capable of being this callous? I doubt it. Is it a CIA plot? Just what is going on here?

This is Crazy Sommies' link to the Stratford Report from the USA and Darood thread. It looks to me like the "international community" intend to isolate the UIC, withdraw support and let the pot simmer. Note that the report involves Kenya and Uganda, as well as the Darood and Ethiopia.

not really doing much are they?

i think that the US and the west are betting that the UIC will implode out of thier accord, probably after they step over a couple more red lines.

I think UN withdrawed, for a cause and maybe that cause might have something to do the UIC, perhaps they realized that UIC are better leading the country.
