Thief nick cellphone and then got caught

This funny thing happened when I went to Kenya last month. My maternal granddad became very ill and the whole family came to his place and among us was one known small time thief (he is my granddadÂ’s nephew).
Whilst we were praying Maghrib prayers, one of my uncleÂ’s mobile phone developed a pair of legs and 'disappeared'. This guy had the intuitive feeling the tuug had it somehow.
He asked him infront of 20 ppl:'waryaa Cabdi Tawaraq, have you seen my mobile? I cant find it and I am quite sure, you have it somewhere, give it back waryaa (in rude sijui accent
).
Tuug aka Abdi Tawaraq replied confidently:' naah, I haven't seen anything. *continued, to chew his qaat and looking unconcerned about what is to happen to him pretty soon*
Phew, an ex-Kenya army soldier (a relative of us) suggested to my uncle, perhaps he should call his mobile and see whether it was around or not
Lo and behold, they dialed the number and the phone started to rang, it was ringing inside Abdi Tawaraq's maxawis , lets say, we all started to laugh except my uncle who did not think it was funny and had to be restrained.
