90% of those in the pics(ok maybe 75%) have never laid eyes on Mogadishu before 1991, let alone being called Mogadishans...

So whats cool about a ghost city??? aside from the fact that some sort of law and order has been restored by the same mooryaans who destroyed it in the first place?? well it was about time after long 16 yrs.

But most of the new faces need be cleaned or tamed before the city could ever go back to its hay days...maybe send them to their little Tuulos and Towns for starters.

In fact, truth be said, it belongs more to them than it does me since I left for another city and they live there day in day out. They eat the zaituun and rumaan that grows from it, they breathe her fresh air and they walk in the warm sand and swim in her beaches. I on the other hand IÂ’m in another continent and remain a distant observer wishing all those living there all the best. At the end of the day, the city will still be there long after you and I are dead, it belongs to all Somalis who love it and unless you grew out of the soil, you canÂ’t claim to be the owner of Muqdisho.

galia, Qeybdiid will never return. A man that had to run away wearing jilbaab and niqaab will always think twice about making stupid moves like that. But he is not even an issue right now.

What movement, I had peace, money, passport, schools, uni,hospitals etc for the last 16 years and we call it Somaliland.
