Its a good read...I think you should read it .

Rays of hope that the media do not see:

The vast majority of things I read and watch in the mainstream media relating to Muslims focus obsessively on what divides us. But, at several wonderful, uplifting moments each week, I find myself amazed and proud at how diverse Britain has become.

Sometimes these feelings come out of funny moments. A while ago, I was catching a train from Leeds to London. Before boarding I stop ped at a newsagent to buy a newspaper and a bottle of water. The man in front of me was a young British Asian. He was wearing the baggy pantaloons, long shirt and skullcap you see in religious seminaries in Pakistan. He also had an Islamic-style beard. The white woman behind the counter was probably in her mid-forties. She spoke in a thick Yorkshire accent as she joked and flirted with the customers.

A good read yeah. But the author im assumin is married to a white woman, cuz she tellin him to teach his kids Somali. Im just curious as to why his hooyo or someone from his family isnt teachin them.

Xplaya, he is not too detached from his roots. He has a potential if he writes more on his country like Nuruddin Farah. Artists who appreciate their culture and communicate the beauty of their culture and history succeed in the West. I don't think he can go anywhere with other subjects.

He is a good Muslim too.

HY are very jealous of those Habar Awals. They accuse them of being soft and feminine. But the Habar Awals just get on being succesful like this guy's father Cabdilaahi Oomaar. That is the guy who owned 6 piano, the six story building on the road to Afgooye.

I remember him when he paid out a huge insurance money to us after our truck was written off after an accident. He owned a large insurance company as well as many other businesses.

The son is excelling in another field it seems.

He married the ugliest white women, a fat brit. He says that his children will be exposed to both christianity and islam and they will choose which one to fallow when they grow up. He looks like a Habash and finally he is not that good, it just so happens that his wife is duaghter of a british lord and lordes. Laughing
