The Homeless TFG Speaker of Parliment Saariif Hunguuri Caadi was well received in Xamar but hundreds protested his visit in the Eelay strong hold of Baidoa.

Can you believe that ? Laughing

A Demonstration against SomaliaÂ’s speaker takes place in Baidoa

Aweys Osman yusuf
Mogadishu 06, Nov.06 ( Sh.M.Network) Hundreds of people have demonstrated in Baidoa, the temporary base for the interim federal government, against SomaliaÂ’s chief parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden, who is in the capital Mogadishu for trial to mediate the government and the Union of Islamic Courts.

Government authorities have reportedly orchestrated the demonstrators, who were carrying banners written in slogans against the speaker.

Sharif Hassan has said in his meeting with senior Islamists in Mogadishu that he did not need to consult with the president or the prime minister over his coming to Mogadishu for negotiations, as he deemed it important.

The governmentÂ’s internal discord that is slowly emerging seems to annihilate its capability of trying to influence the civilian population who has been in racial war for more than 15 years.

The peace talks in the Sudanese capital Khartoum between the government and the Islamists had ended in fruitlessness after both vying parties could not compromise on conditions they presented before the opening of the conference on 1 November.

Somalia has been in lawlessness in past fifteen years.

Former Somali national army has united with Islamic Courts fighters following the Islamic Courts jihad or holy war announcement against Ethiopian troops reportedly in the country.

The Courts and the governmentÂ’s strongholds have only less than 30 km between them.
