"an eye for an eye" is one of the most stupid laws mankind has ever introduced and of course it aint Islamic: It was Hammurabian.

I disagree with the pacifist opposite eloquently said by Ghandi " an eye for an eye and we will all go blind soon"

This kind of ancient middle eastern law was never accepted or implemented by our forefathers and we sure as hell aint going to accept it now.

according to our Somali Xeer an eye taken out by a bow (or bullet nowadays) is similar to 50 camels. Two eyes is similar to proper punishment:100 camels. I prefer that.
