Do you vote In your elections??

Post by Mowhawk »

Recently, I voted in area resided by many Somalis and the issues I had in mind involved the future of their children's education, health care and many things that directly impacted on the community. Later, I realized most of these adults grew up in an environment of no voting and can't be bothered. What is the easiest way to make them understand that they should vote and politicians should court them and take their issues seriously, and and they shouldn't behave like they are here only on the benelovance of "Australia". In Australia it is compulsory to vote if you are registered in the electoral books/roll. Otherwise, you attract a small fine.

Why do people bother taking out citizenships if they dont want to vote?

You are partially right, I think the future of their children and their own community are far more important than a travel document.

How is Ay-Iisho treating you these days, or the Aussie larrikan Gurey nicked her from you? Laughing
