There is an Eelaay proverb that goes something like "Daardaar ay liki fadee, lankii dibisheey li goorriyey"

Abdullahi Afbiijo is barking the wrong trees. He ordered the residents and families occupying houses in the vicinity of his home to vacate and intends to put prostitues and Tigre personnel and their families in their homes. Luugoyo... Aideed (Allahu naxaristo) was not alive after the RRA & Ethiopians took over Baidoa. It was the lil arse Hussein who allowed Baidoa to fall.

Sorry to disappoint you. But the Eelay are more docile than the Abgaal.

Maxamed Dheere tamed Afbiijo when he was in Jowhar. He even did not allow the Puntlanders there to carry GUNs and camped them near the River (so that the Mosquitoes could eat them alive)

My good uncle (a close associate of Afbiijo) told me about how Maxamed Dheere would cut off the generator to AfBiijo's house at night to save gas, how Afbiijo was constantly giving money to M. Dheere to prevent the Xamar Warlords from attacking, and the best part was:

when Mrs. Afbiijo wanted to go to the soldier's camp on independence day to give out blankets, and gifts, Maxamed Dheere stepped in and said, "Aarey, xa ismoodey, Mama Khadija ? Na guuriga ku nooqo."

God Bless Maxamed Dheere ! He was the only Hawiye who had the right idea to keep a leash on Afbiijo's wild dreams of becoming the new Afweyne.

I hate to say this but Afbiijo is a better President than Geedi.

Geedi would do anything Addis tells him and pay any price to grow his power.

Don't get me wrong, AFbiijo would love to be the new Afweyne but he wants to be HIS own man and not Zenawi's poodle in the longterm.
