it depends on the persons intentions how strong his iman was, he may have been searching about Islam b4 he made his mind up then he came 2 his deathbed and made his shahada according to Islamic teachings when you make shahada you are like a new born baby whether you were kaffir b4 all past sins will be forgiven because your heart has accepted Islam that theres only ONE god and prophet mohammed pbuh is is messenger!

Im glad he said shahada b4 he died its better than dying as a kaffir, all his sins were washed away Allah swt knows he may end up in Jannah! Very Happy
